WWW.OLDPULTENEY.COM | 2nd - 4th July 2010 The Energy Regatta began life as The Scott Challenge in 1993 when partners of the Scott Field participated in a friendly series of yacht races to celebrate the success of the Scott Project. Since then, the event has grown considerably and invitations have been extended to include other guest oil companies with up to 20 entries. The Scott Challenge is an invitation-only regatta, which is both social and competitive. It is an enjoyable weekend providing a chance for exploration and production companies to meet one another in an informal and friendly environment. In 2009 the Scott Challenge was rebranded as the Energy Regatta and simultaneously teamed up with Britannia Corporate Events for the first time. Britannia Corporate Events is delighted to announce that it has been appointed as the exclusive Regatta Manager for the Energy Regatta 2010. The Energy Regatta is open to Oil and Gas companies active both within and outside the UK. Selected service companies and suppliers to the industry may also be eligible to participate. Any company wishing to be considered for an invitation to this regatta should contact Britannia Corporate Events at their earliest opportunity. Itinerary Friday 2nd July 2010 0830 hrs Teams with training package booked can check in with regatta manager 1700 hrs Teams arrive at Port Hamble Marina to check in with regatta manager 2000 hrs Regatta deck closes. Teams make own arrangements for dinner Saturday 3rd July 2010 0830 hrs English breakfast in Port Hamble Marina 0830 hrs Skippers Briefing 0915 hrs Depart for practice sailing 1230 hrs Packed lunch on board 1300 hrs First race begins Second race begins ASAP after first race finish 1700 hrs Moor up in Cowes Yacht Haven 1900 hrs BBQ at Royal Corinthian Yacht Club – Smart Casual Sleep on board yachts overnight or Britannia Corporate Events can assist with accommodation. Sunday 4th July 2010 0800 hrs Breakfast 0830 hrs Skippers Briefing 0930 hrs Depart for Solent 1100 hrs Third race 1230 hrs Packed lunch on board 1300 hrs Fourth race Fifth race follows ASAP after finish of race four. 1600 hrs Return to Port Hamble Marina 1630 hrs Afternoon tea and cakes and prize giving in Hamble 1700 hrs Depart at leisure Entry Costs The cost to enter the Energy Regatta 2010 is £3,295 + VAT.
