EVENTS: LE TOURNOI SAILING CHALLENGE

Britannia Corporate Events is delighted to annouce its appointment as an official partner to the Le Tournoi Sailing Challenge 2010. We are delighted to be partnering the 2010 Challenge, sponsored by Investec, with our leading fleet of Beneteau 40.7s forming a core fleet in the Challenge. Britannia will also be assisting with the marketing and logistics for the Challenge, utilising our position and experience as the leading event organiser in the sailing industry.

About the Le Tournoi Sailing Challenge 2010

Participants will have the chance of a lifetime to sail around the south coast and channel islands in what must be the most exciting event of its kind. The Le Tournoi and Britannia ethics are virtually identical in that we believe strongly in taking folk from all walks of life and enabling them to rise to new personal challenges whilst remaining in a risk-managed environment.

We have worked hard and listened to the 2008 Challenge feeback and other senior sailing figures to bring you what we consider to be the most diverse sailing programme available in any challenge along the south coast of the United Kingdom. Almost every sailing discipline will be provided from overnight crossing of the English Channel to short 'around-the-cans' racing, of short duration but high adrenaline. Add to that some of the finest scenery in the UK and some social events rich in wow factor, and you'll understand why we are so proud of the Le Tournoi Challenge and so confident that it will in time grow to become a major event in the south coast sailing calendar.

Costs to Enter:
- Beneteau 40.7 charter @ £7,495 + VAT
- Individual place/entry @ £950 + VAT
- Part race/per day entry for an individual @ £150 + VAT
- Crew fundraising charity minimum @ £3,000
- Sponsor a yacht for £1,500 + VAT

* Final route is subject to confirmation and may change due to unforseen circumstances
** Return travel to the UK is not included

Race 1 - Cowes to Poole - 26th September

Race 2 - Poole to Guernsey - 27th September

Race 3 - Guernsey to St Quay-Portrieux - 29th September

Race 4 - St Quay-Portrieux to St Helier - 30th September

Races 5 & 6 - Coastal Racing to the south of Jersey - 1st October

Race 6 - St Helier to Eastern Solent - 2nd October
