In June 2010, teams from the insurance industry will come together for the 12th staging of the Lutine Lineslip Regatta. More than twenty teams are expected to participate in the regatta. Companies involved in the insurance industry, be they insurers, brokers, reinsurers or professional advisers, will find participation in the Lutine Lineslip Regatta a valuable way to raise its profile, network within the industry and entertain clients, potential clients and staff. The Lutine Lineslip Regatta has been established since 1999 and is the most prestigious sailing and social event for the insurance community.

The Lutine Lineslip Regatta is a Lloyds Yacht Club Event for the Insurance Industry. 2010 will see the 7th staging of the event under the new alliance between the Lloyd's Yacht Club and Britannia Corporate Events. Britannia Corporate Events is the leading organiser of corporate regattas and one of the leading providers of corporate sailing services and yacht charter in the UK.

The regatta is open to crews chartering a yacht and also to companies and individuals with their own yacht, who wish to participate as a private entry.

The charter division will race on single class of yacht, a fleet of Beneteau 40.7 racer/cruiser yachts with race sails and the option of spinnakers.

Itinerary

Wednesday 2nd June

08.00 Lutine Lineslip regatta desk opens in the Britannia offices, Port Hamble Marina. Introduction to skippers.

10.00 Skippers' briefing, Port Hamble Marina

10.30 Practice session begins.

12.00 Racing lunch onboard boats.

13.00 Race one starts, under instruction from the race committee.

Race two starts ASAP after Race one, under instruction from the race committee.

17.00 Day one racing finishes.

17.30 Yachts moor in Cowes Yacht Haven in preparation for the evening party being held in the Royal Yacht Squadron. Full shower and changing facilities are available for crew members in the Yacht Haven.

19.00 Royal Yacht Squadron opens for pre-dinner Pimms drinks reception.

20.00 Lutine Lineslip gala dinner is served.

12.00 Carriages.

Thursday 3rd June

08.30 Skippers' briefing.

10.00 Race three starts, under instruction from the race committee.

12.00 Lunch onboard yachts.

Races four and fine start ASAP after race three and lunch, under instruction from the race committee.

15.30 All yachts return to Port Hamble Marina for prize giving.

16.00 Prize giving Hamble.

16.30 Lutine Lineslip Regatta finishes and teams depart at leisure.
