Networking
A regatta provides the perfect networking opportunity. All those participating in the event have shared experiences from their participation in the regatta, making networking that much easier. Our regattas all have numerous networking opportunities, at receptions and dinners hosted at leading yacht clubs in Hamble and Cowes, and are attended by leading companies from that sector. As a sponsor you have even more networking opportunity, with complimentary tickets to all functions and the perfect excuse to introduce yourself to competitors and play the perfect host.

All these factors combine together to give provide an excellent format for gaining new contacts, developing business relationships and keeping your finger on the industry's pulse.

Profile Raising
All our sponsors receive prominent branding at all functions, on all advertisements and promotional literature and on the regatta website pages. Sponsors also have a trophy named after their company and a company representative can present the trophy and the prize giving ceremony.

In addition to the benefits listed above, sponsors can brand a yacht with their company logo, have it crewed by their team in matching crew clothing and sail past their customers, potential customers, competitors, piers and industry journalists!

Client Entertainment
Inviting a client, or potential client, to an event that your company sponsors is a highly effective form of corporate hospitality. Britannia regattas are run to a very high standard and those standards will reflect on your company in an extremely positive light.

You will also be training, racing and socializing with your guests during the event. You may arrive as a group of suppliers and customers, but you will almost certainly depart as team-mates and friends, with business relationships cemented and guests eagerly anticipating their invitation to the following year's regatta.

Team Development
A group of individuals can arrive as a completely dysfunctional unit, never having met each other before, and leave after the event as a close-knit team. How is this possible?

Sailing is quite simply the most effective sport at facilitating teambuilding. Britannia's skippers will give each crew member specific tasks and get the group working together as a team unit. The excitement of the competition will then spur the unit onto bigger and better things, pulling together as a real team with each person's role contributing to the team's performance.

Teams share an incredible sense of achievement at working together as a team to guide the yacht around a course and over the finish line. If the team also finishes in a top position, the sense of satisfaction is raised tenfold, usually assisted by liberal helpings of champagne.

New Business
Not only have our sponsors reported incredibly high levels of client retention when entertaining existing customers at our events, many have also found they benefit from gaining new business when sponsoring our regattas. One major manufacturer reported taking new orders worth in excess of £125,000 during the course of one weekend regatta in 2004, and this does not include any future sales from increased profile and the many new contacts and leads they also gained.

While we can't guarantee you this level of success, we can guarantee that we will put you and your message in front of the right people, in the right environment and with plenty of opportunity to entertain guests and meet new contacts.
