A reward and incentive day for employees
Rewarding employees for their success and hard
work is an important aspect of any business. Providing incentives to maintain
their motivation in the future is just as crucial. Sailing is the ideal
activity to reward and motivate for several reasons. Firstly, sailing
has a high perceived value and will make your guests realize that you
value them a great deal. While other rewards, such as go-karting, paintballing,
a day at the races, or a night on the town may be fun - none of them have
the same kudos as a sailing trip on a luxury yacht. Secondly, sailing
is an exciting and invigorating experience that will be remembered by
your team for years to come.
Another major benefit of sailing is that it is quite simply the most effective
sport at facilitating teambuilding. Britannia's skippers give crew members
specific tasks and get the group working together as a team unit. The
excitement of the competition spurs the unit onto bigger and better things,
pulling together as a real team with each person's role contributing to
the team's performance. Teams share an incredible sense of achievement
at working together as a team to guide a yacht around a course and over
the finish line.

Raising the company profile
A regatta will raise your profile with clients,
suppliers and employees. With a few carefully targeted invitations to
journalists, it can also lead to some excellent press coverage, especially
when combined with a photograph of a yacht with your company logo on the
bow and your clients and staff working together as a team onboard.
Sailing is inclusive and communicates many values that are core to any
business. Sailing is all about team work, commitment, energy, fun, competition,
achievement, passion, success and communication. These are probably words
that you like to have, or already have, associated with your business
and how better to reinforce these values than via a regatta that is heavily
branded with your company name.

Focus on clients
Could there be any better way of focusing on
your clients than spending the whole day with them, networking, sailing
together as a team, enjoying a fun and exhilarating activity and sharing
a sense of achievement? Watching a game of tennis, going to a restaurant,
shooting clay pigeons or tasting wine certainly don't offer all of these
benefits and neither do most other forms of client entertainment.
We have received a great deal of positive feedback from companies that
entertain clients at sailing days. One of our clients reports that they
have had 100% client retention from those guests they take sailing with
them each year. Imagine the benefits such a high client retention rate
can offer your business.
