In addition to our leading fleet of Beneteau 40.7s forming a core fleet in the Challenge. Britannia will also be assisting with the marketing and logistics for the Challenge, utilising our position and experience as the leading event organiser in the sailing industry.
About the Le Tournoi Sailing Challenge 2012
Le Tournoi is a truly remarkable and unique event, combining sailing in the Solent, an offshore passage to the Channel Islands and racing round the Islands of Guernsey, Herm, Sark and Jersey. This 5 day event not only offers a unique blend of sailing but also fantastic social events where you can enjoy the hospitality of the people of Cowes, Guernsey and Jersey and help raise money for Le Tournoi and the causes it supports.
Participants will have the chance of a lifetime to sail around the south coast and channel islands in what must be the most exciting event of its kind. The Le Tournoi and Britannia ethics are virtually identical in that we believe strongly in taking folk from all walks of life and enabling them to rise to new personal challenges whilst remaining in a risk-managed environment.
We have worked hard and listened to the 2008 Challenge feedback and other senior sailing figures to bring you what we consider to be the most diverse sailing programme available in any challenge along the south coast of the United Kingdom. Almost every sailing discipline will be provided from Solent round-the-cans racing to offshore to coastal racing, of short duration but high adrenaline. Add to that some of the finest scenery in the UK and some social events rich in wow factor, and you’ll understand why we are so proud of the Le Tournoi Challenge and so confident that it will in time grow to become a major event in the south coast sailing calendar.
We are thrilled to have been selected to partner the Le Tournoi Sailing Challenge 2011. Not only do we bring the pedigree of a superb fleet of Beneteau 40.7 yachts to the project, but also our position as the leading event organiser in the UK sailing market and we look forward to working in partnership to develop this event and raise even more money for the charities.

Individual places are available for the price of £1,245 + VAT (£1,494 inc VAT) each and include the following:
- Place on a Beneteau 40.7
- Opportunity to sleep onboard (shared cabin with member of own sex)
- Skipper and 1st mate
- Wet weather gear and all safety equipment
- Welcome BBQ on Friday 21st September
- Price giving dinner in Jersey on Wednesday 28th September
- Breakfast and lunch onboard during all days of the regatta (evening meals, other than those listed above, are not included but some may be provided by event sponsors).
