Lancelot, Britannia’s Beneteau 40.7 will once again be heading for the 2nd Annual Les Voiles De Saint Barths.
Saint Barthélemy lies at the crossroads of maritime routes (17°54’N – 62°50’W), and is a sailor’s paradise with its protected environment and renowned underwater world.
Geologically, it is the oldest of the Antilles islands. Its landscape of hills and valleys is surrounded by magnificent little islands such as Fourchue, Frégate, or Pain de Sucre, where the majestic Pelican (mascot of the island) suspends its flight, while iguana parade elegantly under the shade of a gaïac tree or latanier palm.
The trade winds whisper regularly, and the waves are generally not too aggressive.
On the Quai de General Gaullein Gustavia, generations of sailors gather and share their tall tales at Le Select. In the evening, sailboats of all sizes rock gently on their moorings in Colombier or near Corossol, while their crews savor a traditional “tipunch” before dining on local lobster or red snapper.
