Sponsored by Taittinger (yes - the Champagne brand) the regatta package includes a Taittinger Champagne reception in Yarmouth on the Friday evening, in addition to IRC yacht racing on both Saturday and Sunday.
Hosted by the Royal Solent Yacht Club in picturesque Yarmouth the regatta attracts a real mix of sailors and yachts, and is popular for its fun vibe combined with 3 exciting inshore races based in the Western Solent over the weekend.
Event Format
You will join Britannia on Friday morning in Port Hamble Marina for a training day, making sure we finish in Yarmouth in time for the Champagne reception.
On Saturday morning there is a skippers brief, as soon as this is finished its back out on the water to compete in two inshore races in the Western Solent. The tides are exceptionally strong by Yarmouth which makes the racing very tactical and always pushes the crews manoeuvring skills!
Saturday night features the "Towers Party" and after racing has finished on Sunday there will be time to attend the prize-giving at the Royal Solent YC before you return to Port Hamble Marina.
