Britannia Events – Newsletter Prize Draw 2026: Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) govern the Britannia Events prize draw (the “Competition”).

1. Promoter

The Competition is run by Britannia Events (“We”, “Us”, “Our”, “The Company”).

2. Entry Requirements

• By signing up to the Britannia Events newsletter database, you will be automatically entered into the Competition.
• Entry is free and no purchase is necessary.Only one entry per person is permitted. Multiple entries will be disqualified.
• To be eligible, entrants must:
• Be aged 18 or over
• Not be employees of Britannia Events or their immediate family members
• Accept these Terms in full

3. Competition Period

• The current Competition runs until 30th June 2026.
• A winner will be drawn on 30th June 2026.
• Additional competitions will run throughout the year. The next Competition period will run from 1st July 2026 to 31st August 2026.

4. Winner Selection & Notification

• One winner will be selected at random from all valid entries.
• The winner will be notified via email shortly after the draw date.
• The winner must respond within 48 hours to claim the prize.
• If no response is received within this timeframe, We reserve the right to select an alternative winner.

5. The Prize

The prize consists of:

• A one-day skippered yacht charter
• Starting and finishing at the Britannia Sailing base in Port Hamble Marina
• Charter time: 09:00 – 16:00
• A professional skipper is included

Additional Conditions:

• Any additional costs must be paid by the winner, including (but not limited to):
• Fuel
• Berthing/marina fees
• Food, drink, or catering provisions
• The prize must be redeemed by 31st December 2026
• The charter date must be mutually agreed between the winner and Britannia Events
• The specific yacht provided is subject to availability and at the discretion of Britannia Events

6. Prize Conditions

The prize is:

• Non-transferable
• Non-refundable
• Non-exchangeable
• Not redeemable for cash or any alternative
• If the winner is unable to take the prize within the specified timeframe, the prize will be forfeited.
• Britannia Events reserves the right to substitute the prize with an alternative of equal or greater value if necessary.

7. Liability

• The winner participates in the prize at their own risk.
• Britannia Events accepts no responsibility for:
  • Loss, damage, or injury incurred during the experience (except where required by law)
  • Any additional costs incurred by the winner
• Britannia Events shall not be liable for failure to fulfil the prize due to circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to:
  • Weather conditions
  • Mechanical issues
  • Force majeure events

8. Data Protection & marketing

• By entering the Competition, you agree to:
  • Be added to the Britannia Events marketing database
  • Receive email communications relating to offers, updates, and news
• You may unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email communication.
• Personal data will be processed in accordance with applicable data protection legislation, including GDPR.

9. Publicity

• The winner may be asked to participate in reasonable promotional activity, including:
  • Social media content
  • Testimonials or case studies
• By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to such use unless otherwise requested in writing.

10. General

• Britannia Events reserves the right to:
  • Amend or withdraw the Competition at any time
  • Disqualify any entrant who breaches these Terms
• All decisions made by Britannia Events regarding the Competition are final.
• No correspondence will be entered into.

11. Governing Law

• These Terms are governed by English law.
• Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
