After a challenging 2020, it was an absolute delight to see so many old and new faces back in Port Hamble for corporate sailing days and regattas throughout the 2021 season. Guests from all over the UK joined us to enjoy a range of sailing events, from one day corporate charters out on the Solent to week long hospitality packages to motivate, reward and inspire employees and clients at Cowes Week. As 2021 draws to a close, we wanted to share our highlights from what we think has been a cracking year and look forward to another busy, successful and exciting season in 2022.
On Tuesday 13th July, we welcomed guests from a range of companies across the UK to take part in Avro Yachting’s Reginald Fessenden Regatta to raise funds for The Not Forgotten, a fantastic charity that helps combat isolation and loneliness in ex-British servicemen and women.
Teams from some of the world’s leading military contractors supported the event, including QUINTEQ, Thales, Stirling Dynamics and Clarion Events. They arrived in Port Hamble on Tuesday afternoon to enjoy an evening of networking and celebrations at the Royal Southern Yacht Club, including a delicious BBQ, dark and stormys provided by our lifestyle partner Mount Gay Rum and a whole host of fundraising fun and games before heading out on the water on Wednesday 14th for a morning of training and the all important race itself.
After a cracking day racing on the Solent, teams headed back to Port Hamble Marina where Servowatch Systems Ltd lifted the Reginald Fessenden Challenge 2021 Trophy!
