Highlights from Cowes Week 2025

Cowes Week 2025 delivered a thrilling week of racing on the Solent – from light, tactical mornings to breezy, action-packed afternoons and even a safety pause during Storm Floris.

Crews tackled everything the elements could dish up: unpredictable shifts, choppy seas, and gusty winds that tested skill, strategy, and stamina all week.

Race Conditions Roundup

  • Opening day featured light northwesterlies and a two-hour delay, eventually giving way to a stronger breeze and exciting racing.

  • Monday’s racing was canceled due to Storm Floris, making safety the priority—but the regatta spirit stayed high ashore.

  • Mid-week delivered variability: sunny and blustery conditions demanded tactical agility from competitors.

  • The penultimate day threw high-20 knot gusts and choppy seas at crews, proving a true test of seamanship.

  • The finale brought flat seas and light wind—but only briefly, as the breeze filled in for a dramatic, sunshine-fueled conclusion.

Social & Community Highlights on Board

The week wasn’t just about close-quarters racing – it was also about welcoming friends and clients to share in the excitement.

On Saturday 2nd August, we were joined by MNM Properties for a relaxed spectator day aboard an Oceanis 37, soaking up the on-water action before heading ashore for a delicious lunch at the Royal Ocean Racing Club in Cowes.

Later in the week, Thursday brought another burst of competitive energy. Crew from Rokstone raced in the IRC Class 1 onboard our First 40 Lancelot II, while crews from Acrisure enjoyed a day of thrilling, close-fought racing onboard 3 of our Oceanis 37s in the Club Cruiser D Class.
