Accommodation Options

Staying locally can enhance your sailing experience, offering relaxation and convenience. Our base in Port Hamble Marina is just a short drive from Portsmouth and Southampton.

Hamble-le-Rice: This quaint village by the Hamble River is ideal for a pre or post-sailing stay. Options include the Royal Southern Yacht Club, RAF Yacht Club, and the charming Compass Point B&B, all of which are within easy reach from our Marina. Each venue provides a unique blend of local charm and comfort, with amenities ranging from modern suites to cosy, historic rooms
Portsmouth: If you are travelling to Port Hamble from the east and are looking for an overnight stay prior to (or after) your event, we highly recommend considering the Solent Hotel & Spa. Situated just off the M27 in Whiteley, the Solent Hotel & Spa offers a luxurious environment to relax and unwind and is the perfect place to combine fun with formalities thanks to their generously sized boardrooms. We love it so much their, that we have chosen it as our partner for our popular Boardroom to Boat days.
Southampton: For a more urban stay, and for those travelling from the west, Southampton boasts options like the Grand Harbour Hotel and The Pig in the Wall. These accommodations provide easy access to the city’s vibrant dining and shopping scene, including West Quay (but you’ll need at least a day to enjoy that to the max!).

Dining Out

Savouring local cuisine is a fantastic way to enhance your Team Building Event and here at Britannia, we can arrange your lunchtime dining experience for you as part of your package. Here are just several of our favourite dining spots:

Isle of Wight: Enjoy panoramic views and gourmet meals at places like The Smoking Lobster, offering seafood with a Pan-Asian twist, and The Globe, known for its waterfront dining and vibrant atmosphere. Both of these restaurants are situated in Cowes, and are easily accessible when heading across the Solent for the day. Another client favourite is The Hut in Colwell Bay which boosts beautiful views out over the Solent and serves everything from freshly caught fish to juicy steaks and burgers.
Hamble-le-Rice: The village is not just about scenic views but also offers great dining. Visit The Bugle for traditional English pub fare or The King and Queen for hearty homemade dishes. For a taste of the exotic, the Thaiger Lounge serves acclaimed Thai cuisine
Southampton: After a day on the water, unwind at one of Southampton’s eclectic dining venues. The White Star Tavern offers chic dining within historic walls, while The Pig in the Wall combines boutique accommodation with delightful local dishes
